ABOUT US

Interfar is an Australian owned family business that specialises in high end custom joinery for domestic and commercial use.

Established in 1973 Interfar was created to service the custom home furniture market. Through customer demand, Interfar soon partnered with builders, architects and interior designers to bring the same level of commitment to excellence to the commercial and retail markets.

Today Interfar is equipped to provide custom joinery for projects or all sizes, from home vanity units to complete home renovations, medical practices or multi level office environments.

INTERFAR HERITAGE

Back in 1973 William R Farley B.ARCH F.R.A.I.A established Interfar Furniture systems. Bill (as he liked to be called) developed a clever Modular Furniture system called “Farpak” where by the customers would purchase standard prepacked modules of furniture, take it home and assemble it. The flexibility would allow customers to vary the lay out of the furniture from time to time and room to room by simply adding or reassembling from the existing components as required. In 1978 Bill received the Australian Design award for the Interfar Modular system. Today Interfar is still built using the same concept and over the years Interfar been able to adopt the same system to create any look for the discerning client that will look great now and in years to come. No matter the size colour or lay out the flexibility is endless.

Manufacturing

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Based in Wetherill Park, our manufacturing facility is equipped with the latest computerised machinery that enables us to produce the highest quality product from the most efficient processes. From inception to completion, each aspect of production is managed entirely giving us control over quality and timing.

Our set-out office comprises of “Pytha” a 3D CAD manufacturing software that lets us view the joinery in a real time visual. This system then controls the processing of the joinery components, creating optimised cutting list and machining programs for our CNC machinery.

Our finishing department is equipped with computerised sanders and a fully enclosed spray booth. Our spray booth consists of a unique conveyor system where all components are hung and sprayed vertically. This way we finish both sides of our panels in one process, avoiding the waiting time that is typical for panels to dry before re-coating.
