FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does Interfar Custom Furniture do?
Interfar designs and manufactures custom joinery such as wall units, entertainment units, home offices, kitchens, laundries, vanities, wardrobes, bedsides, and commercial joinery. We also specialise in wall beds and Smart beds.
Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have showrooms in Drummoyne and Wetherill Park. If you are looking for a particular product to see, please contact us and we will let you know what the best showroom is to visit.
What services do you provide in terms of joinery?
We can do as little or as much as you like. If you have a design or are collaborating with a Designer or Architect, we can collaborate on your joinery needs. If you have no drawings or plans, we have a team of Designers where we can take you through the process of consultation, designing, quoting, and manufacturing. We can also include our tradespeople in your scope of work such as an Electrician, Plumber, Gyprocker and Stone Mason.
Who typically orders custom made joinery?
Someone that has specific requirements and storage needs or would like a particular finish where off the shelf items just do not suit.
Which areas do you cover?
Sydney Metro, however, we are happy to travel further.
What materials do you specialise in?
We specialise in Melamine, Polyurethane and Timber Veneer. We also have our own spray booth at our factory in Wetherill Park where our polyurethane is sprayed in house. We are also able to source other materials such as stone, corian, porcelain and timber bench tops.
How do I start the process?
We do recommend coming into the showroom to have a look at examples of products, samples, and finishes. From there we can organise for a Designer to come out to your home to measure and quote or alternatively you can e-mail us with drawings, or you can simply contact us, and we can discuss your needs and take you through the process over the phone.
Do you charge for Quotes?
Our initial consultation and quote are free of charge, and we also meet with you to go through our designs and quote with you. However, we do not hand over our drawings until a deposit is placed.
What is the process once a deposit is placed?
- A deposit letter is then sent out confirming your deposit which also outlines a timeline on your final drawings and finishes are due.
- In that time the Designer will liaise with you in getting your drawings finalised with colours and finishes before the due date.
- If required, a check measure is then organised.
- The Designer will then submit final drawings to you for your approval.
- Once final drawings are approved, we submit them to our factory for production.
- We will then communicate with you on your installation date.
- We install your joinery.
What if there is a delay in installation?
Sometimes there can be delays in installations due to materials not arriving on time or changes in the project but we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Do you provide an after service if there are any issues with the joinery?
Yes, we do, our custom joinery carries a 5-year warranty. Even after the warranty period expires, if there is an issue, we will always endeavor to assist you and rectify any issues post installation as we have had since 1973.
Why choose Interfar?
We have been specialsing in joinery for the last 50 years, our Designers are up to date with the latest designs and colours and having joinery designed gives you the flexibility of being able to choose a design to fit your space. We use the latest European hardware, and we manufacture your joinery with the latest CNC machinery. We also install our own joinery, so you only deal with Interfar from start to finish.
Can you alter pre-existing cabinetry?
Yes, we have had customer records since 1973 where we can alter, re-spray or add on to existing joinery so that you can enjoy it for many more years to come.
Do you dismantle and reassemble existing joinery?
Yes, we offer a service where we can dismantle your existing joinery and reassemble.
Can you alter someone else’s joinery?
We would need to inspect the joinery first and advise accordingly.
Can I see examples of your work?
We have examples of our work on our website, and we frequently post our work on Facebook and Instagram. You can also visit one of our Sydney showrooms.
